FAQs

Roofing Questions We Are Often Asked

Which areas of London do you cover?

We cover Walthamstow, Stratford, Canning Town, East Ham, Plaistow, Camden Town, Woodford, Finsbury Park, Ealing, Southall, Richmond, Twickenham and Wood Green, along with the surrounding parts of Greater London. If your area is not listed, call and ask.

Do you carry out emergency roof repairs?

Yes. Emergency call-outs are available for active leaks and storm damage, and these are given priority. We make the roof weathertight first, usually with a temporary cover, then arrange the permanent repair.

Can I send photos of the problem before you visit?

Yes. Photos sent on WhatsApp help us see the type of roof, the likely cause and the access needed, so the visit can be planned with the right materials.

Do you work on commercial buildings as well as houses?

Yes. We work on houses and flats as well as shops, offices and other commercial premises, and plan the work around the people using the building.

How do I know whether my roof needs repairing or replacing?

A survey visit answers that. We look at the covering, the ridges and verges, the flashings and, where we can, the underside of the roof from the loft. Isolated faults are usually repairable; widespread slipping, porous tiles or perished underlay point towards a new roof. We explain what we find so you can decide.

Will my roof work need scaffolding?

Larger jobs such as new roofs, chimney work and roofline replacement normally need scaffolding for safe access. Some smaller repairs can be reached with ladders or a roof ladder. Where scaffolding is needed, it is included in your quote.
